Pollutions of the soil or groundwater by free petroleum phase often occur in areas surrounding petrol stations or fuel depots.
Petroleum usually gets into the subsurface due to handling losses, leaks or disasters. Depending on its physical characteristics, the oil concentrates as free phase on the surface (LNAPL) or at the bottom of the groundwater (DNAPL).
We offer various technologies for the removal of free phase from wells
- dual or triple phase extraction >>
- passive oil skimmer
- hose pumps
- hydraulic supported, active oil skimming
During the process of hydraulic supported oil skimming, a level-controlled submersible pump reduces the groundwater level in a defined way. In the catchment area of the submersible funnel, oil phase flows to the well and concentrates above the water level in the well.
Our self-adjusting oil skimmer is always on the same level as the oil slick and collects the oil in a storage container.
An oil pump which has a little emulsion effect pumps the oil to the container of the plant, where, depending on the type of application, there are further remediation stages, e.g. phase separators, water treatment plants >> and storage vessels.
Our ready-to-operate oil phase extraction plants are fitted in mobile, frost-proof and weather-proof containers. The pumping equipment is suitable for the use in hazardous areas.
